Early Start ABA Program at Cogleap
The Early Start ABA Program is designed for young children (ages 18 months – 5 years) diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related developmental delays. This program focuses on building essential skills that prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten. Through individualized, play-based, and structured ABA therapy, we help children develop communication, social, adaptive, and cognitive skills, enabling them to interact with peers, follow classroom routines, and engage in group learning activities. Our goal is to equip children with the foundational skills needed for a smooth and confident start in a preschool environment.

Early Start ABA Program
vs. Traditional Preschool
Traditional preschools follow a structured routine where children are expected to adapt to group activities, social interactions, and classroom expectations. While many children adjust over time, autistic children may require additional support to navigate these changes successfully.
Our Early Start ABA Program bridges this gap by providing a structured yet flexible learning environment that focuses on individual skill development. Unlike traditional preschools, our program incorporates evidence-based ABA strategies to help children develop communication and social skills at their own pace. Through small-group learning, structured play, and guided social interactions, children gradually build the skills necessary to participate in group settings, follow routines, and engage with peers, making their transition to preschool smoother and more successful.
Program Structure

Assessment & Individualized Program Development
We begin with a comprehensive assessment to identify any behavioral challenges. Based on the results, we develop an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) tailored to each child's unique needs, ensuring targeted support for their development.

Session
Structure
Our Early Start ABA Program follows a structured yet flexible routine, incorporating individualized 1:1 therapy and small group learning to support skill development.
To prepare children for preschool, we integrate:
-
Circle time
-
Group rotations
-
Peer-based activities
These activities help children practice social interaction, turn-taking, and following classroom routines.

Data Collection & Progress Monitoring
We use daily data collection to track skill development and behavior progress. Every six months, we conduct re-assessments to measure mastery and update goals. As children progress, we focus on school readiness, skill generalization, and gradual therapy fade-out, ensuring a smooth transition to preschool or kindergarten with increasing independence.
Our Early Start ABA Program is designed to provide comprehensive, evidence-based early intervention that maximizes each child’s potential.
By fostering independence, confidence, and school readiness, we empower children to transition smoothly into a classroom environment.
